Afternoon Discipleship Classes

Every Sunday until June 7, 2015

1:00pm – 1:45pm

This fall will we will transition to discipleship classes in the afternoons (1:00–1:45 pm). Our vision for these classes is to help provide you with all kinds of training to increase the number of angles in which we behold God, become more like Christ and bless the world.

Intro to the Bible: What's the Bible All About?
This class is a basic introduction to the Bible. This study focuses on the unifying storyline of scripture to make sense of how the Bible fits together and how it's meant to be read. This class is ideal for anyone (Christian or non-Christian) who wants a better understanding of what the Bible is and what it's all about.

Prayer (from Church History)
Prayer is the back-bone and the life-blood of any healthy church. We will gather to pray and to learn to pray. We'll devote a small amount of time each week to thinking about how to pray according to the Scriptures (this session we'll be looking at how early church fathers prayed), and then we'll pray for each other, for our church, for the city, and the world.

Systematic Theology
Everybody is a theologian; not everybody is a good one. In our own eyes, we all seek to piece our world together from the framework of what we know to be true. Our systematic theology class will attempt to examine what the Bible says is true about all kinds of topics; from God to the Bible, from people to angels, from sin to salvation, and from first creation to new creation. Our aim will be to build a coherent, biblical framework for our understanding and thinking about the world in which we live.

Note: You are encouraged to choose one class and stick with it!
